Implications of New Batteries for Powering Robots

Even though the article released yesterday by Nanotechnology discuss the recent breakthrough in batteries talked primarily about their applications to alternative energy sources, the effects of the batteries on robots was immediately apparent. With batteries that are not only smaller and more compact than current ones, but are also 40x more efficient. This increase in efficiency would naturally greatly increase the applicability and usefulness of many different types of robots.

Wow, that's a serious increase in efficiency. That could let robots run for days rather than hours. Amazing. I wonder what other applications these batteries could be used for?
