South Florida Robotics Society (SFRS)
About the Club:
The South Florida Robotics Society is a non-profit hobby robotics group open to anyone interested in robots. We are also involved in promoting and encouraging public interest in robotics, as members meet, discuss, share ideas and build robots. Events include meetings, classes, shows, competitions, etc.
There are several competitions that may be of interest to members. Some of these may include Sumo Robots, RoboSoccer, B.E.A.M., Firefighting Robot Contest, etc. Classes and workshops will be held to teach members about robotics, how to design/build a robot. Additionally, presentations from guest speakers on different subjects relevant to the field of robotics will also be scheduled.
Officials/Meetings:
An executive board of officials will be chosen to conduct group business. Meetings will be held (TBA) to discuss topics about robotics, and build robots. A special day for building named Robot Builder’s Day Out (RBDO), may be held to assist members, work together, and actually build robot projects.
