Stanford Team Enters Robot Car in DARPA Urban Race
Submitted by asimo237 on Tue, 07/03/2007 - 13:26.A team of Stanford University robotic researchers will test a driverless Volkswagen Passat wagon named Junior in this fall's Urban Challenge, an unmanned car race sponsored by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency.
The Urban Challenge course in November will be a 60-mile test of city driving, interrupted by intersections, rights-of-way, stop signs, and lane changes.
